Blå Lagunen (Blue Lagoon)

These waters are what’s been left behind from an old quarry and it’s quite close to the shores of Lake Mälaren. These days it’s a beautiful green-blue lake that you can swim in!

Getting public transport to this spot is a bit tricky and takes quite a long time so driving or biking is the best option. However, you should be aware that this lake has become very busy in recent years and the is no parking right by the water. Instead, you’ll need to follow the parking restrictions and walk or bike the final few hundred metres or so to the water.

If you’re driving here, you’ll also need to have Swish (the Swedish payment app) or take cash to be able to pay for parking. It’s said that parking fines for incorrect parking or not paying are pretty big, so be sure to follow the rules.

Also, ALWAYS pack your rubbish out with you. This shouldn’t need to be said, but unfortunately, many people have previously decided to leave their rubbish here, ruining a beautiful area.
